Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) includes all parents with children currently attending St George Primary. We welcome everyone to be involved as much or as little as you are able. There is always a need for full members who take up positions within the PTA such as Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, class representatives who work with individual classes and teachers to help get things done, helpers at PTA events ie running stalls and also baking for our bake sales. But we do appreciate that some parents really do not have time to do some of these things and that is OK, we always need you as parents to turn up to our events and spend some of your hard earned pennies while you are enjoying yourself.

How do I get involved?

The best way to start getting involved is to talk to one of our main members i.e. chair, secretary or treasurer to discuss what you would like to be involved in.

We also hold meetings at a local cafe once a month where we discuss our current projects we are working on and any new ideas we may have. You are more than welcome to turn up to as many or as few as you wish. There are text messages sent out to tell you when the next one will be.

What are we currently raising money for?

We currently don’t have a big project we are working towards, but we are always raising money to add the extra things to the school that make our children’s school life better!

What events are coming up?

We are planning our bake sales, which are always a very delicious way to raise money and a recycling for cash collection, also a great way to help the environment as well as make money for our school.

There will be two non-school uniform days this term and after such a successful event last year we will be holding a Christmas themed movie night too.

Our Christmas Fair will be held after school on Friday 13th December with all types of stalls, games and a raffle.

How much was raised at our last event?

Our Summer fair we held in July raised a grand total of £397.30
